Graham Fagen:
The Garden

Commissioned for the centenary of the First World War, The Garden is a recording inspired by the world’s first radio broadcast during the Easter Rising to trench-radio experiments in the Battle of the Somme. Messages were broadcast in morse code and decoded in the trenches. The record sleeve and label mirror the broadcast with the morse code on one side, and the translation on the other.
